Sweet Hollywood had the pleasure to create a bespoke wedding cake for the lovely Annika & Arfan, who had their stunning Muslim wedding reception at Boreham House / Essex Wedding Venue.

Boreham House is a magnificent 18th Century, Georgian, Stately Home located in the heart of the Essex countryside. The impressive avenue of trees on the approach surround a breath-taking mirrored lake creating a unique setting, sure to evoke feelings of amazement from the moment you arrive.

Set in 35 acres of picturesque grounds this Essex Venue is ideally suited for Weddings, Events, Conferencing and Corporate Hospitality. Boreham House has been voted Asian Wedding Venue Of The Year in the United Kingdom and Southern Region for two consecutive years running. It is no wonder our clients Annika and Arfan decided to host their Asian wedding reception at this stunning venue.

Leading Asian wedding suppliers included Halal wedding catering by Blackstone Caterers, who also specialize in Indian, Gujrati, Persian, Pakistani and Indo Chinese Wedding food. The delicious spread was catered for by London Waiting Company, who always have a very professional and efficient team.

The wedding décor and wedding flowers were put together by London based Enchanted By Syma. Sweet Hollywood always like to take inspiration from the décor for the wedding cake. Even much so when there is a particular wedding theme and it’s important for our clients to have everything following suit.

The clients wanted a Gatsby inspired wedding theme with a twist and Enchanted by Syma had everything from a Gatsby inspired wedding stage / top table and backdrop area which was a focal point. The wedding reception also featured stunning oversized flower centerpieces and plenty of soft candlelight, which looked stunning.

The wedding DJ and lighting and production along with dance floor was put together by Calibar Events. The stunning dance floor featured Gatsby inspired tramlines and detailing which match the wedding stage backdrop. A number of moving heads and other lighting was also positioned in the venue to add to the atmosphere.

The wedding stationery was also themed to match the look and feel of the wedding reception and this was designed and printed by the talented team at Doves and Peacock.

The glamorous wedding reception was managed by Deep from Opulence Events, who insured everything came together like clockwork. Its always important to have a wedding planner or event coordinator as this helps make sure your vision is delivered to perfection.

With the Gatsby theme in mind London based luxury wedding cake specialists Sweet Hollywood, were our client’s first choice, as they wanted a grand wedding cake. Also with it being a Muslim wedding reception, we were happy to adhere to their halal requirements for the Asian wedding cake.

The grand wedding cake featured multiple tiers, which were much bigger than a conventional wedding cake. Furthermore the cake featured a marbling effect, which is a big trend to 2020 wedding cakes.

The wedding cake tiers also featured black, white and gold detailing and tied in really wedding with the wedding décor and wedding flowers. Floating tiers and separators also added to the wow factor and guests were mesmerized with the sheer height of the Sweet Hollywood creation.
