London based Luxury wedding cake specialist Sweet Hollywood were delighted to be selected by clients Sabita & Raj for their glamorous Gatsby themed wedding reception at Grosvenor House London.

Synonymous with luxury and elegance, Grosvenor House, based in London’s exclusive Mayfair, is a perfect choice for Wedding Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships and Wedding Receptions. The spectacular Great Room is one of Europe’s largest and most impressive banqueting spaces, with capacity for up to 2,000 guests’ banquet style.

The elegant Art Deco Ballroom can accommodate up to 500 guests for a wedding breakfast and, with its interconnected foyer, gives your guests plenty of space for welcome drinks and dancing into the night and was the perfect choice for a Gatsby Inspired wedding reception.

Leading Asian wedding suppliers included catering and event management by Ragamama Ragasaan and the event was managed like clockwork by Shirley Mirpuri and her team. The Great Gatsby Wedding Decor and styling was put together by London based RWS – Royal Wedding Services. Music and entertainment was provided by leading Asian wedding DJ’s Ritzy Music.

Gatsby glamour doesn’t have to just live on the big screen. Art deco sequins, pearls, feathers and geometric patterns are all totally wedding-worthy. With the above in mind we were delighted to create a bespoke wedding cake that bought an iconic revival and fabulous charm of the Roaring Twenties.

With our Sikh bride Sabita’s requirements in mind we created a fabulous six tier bespoke wedding cake featuring round and octagon shapes to give the wedding cake some character. The wedding cake tiers were based on our superior sizes so they were much taller than regular sized tiers and definitely a statement wedding cake. The Great Gatsby inspired wedding cake also featured our client’s personalised crest along with stunning sugar detailing that was all created by hand.

Set in the Roaring Twenties, Gatsby style is all about glitz, glamour, and opulence. In honour of the latest interpretation starring Leonardo DiCaprio, a fabulous group of wedding vendors in London pulled together this incredible wedding inspirational shoot before the wedding reception with the permission of our clients. The popular flapper styles with sparkling embellishments and the influence of the Jazz Age and Art Deco design all played a key role during this era.

Taking us back to this innovative and trend setting time “Sweet Hollywood” Directed the styled shoot by “Opulence Events” showcasing the glitz, glamour and magic of a Great Gatsby themed wedding reception.
